BANI, Dec 26: A middle-aged woman was found dead at the water mill (Gharat) of her husband, under mysterious circumstances, in remote Bani area of district Kathua today.
Reports said Veena Devi, wife of Mashu Ram, resident of Kasheer village near Chandal, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. Her husband had gone to nearby hamlet in connection with community ‘langar’. After he returned, he found her wife lying dead. He raised alarm and then locals gathered there. Later, matter was brought to the notice of police.
Bani police shifted the body to hospital for postmortem. The doctors believed that woman apparently died due to consumption of some poisonous stuff. The medical report was awaited. The police registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and started investigation.
