Srinagar, Jan 9: Police today said a woman died after committing suicide in Budgam district of Central Kashmir.
A police spokesman said 24 year-old lady hailing from Negoo village of Chadoora area in Budgam district, consumed some poisonous substance at her home.
“She breathed her last while being shifted to the hospital. After conducting legal formalities police handed over the body of deceased to her relatives for last rites,” he said, adding that a case has been registered and investigation initiated.
