Will rebuild party: Mehbooba

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Dec 20: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today expressed commitment to rebuild the party brick by brick, which was the resolve of her late father and PDP patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who had founded the party.
Reaction to resignations of two former Ministers-Basharat Bukhari and Peer Mohammad Hussain-from the party and joining National Conference yesterday, Mehbooba, without mentioning the resignations, commented: “politics is all about expediency, permutation and combinations. Power is transient and not something I have strive for”.
In a tweet, Mehbooba said she stood firm in commitment and resolve towards rebuilding a party I built brick by brick with my late father and its patron (Mufti Mohammad Sayeed).
She also took a dig at National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah over joining of National Conference by some PDP leaders.
She reproduced cartoon of Dr Abdullah published in a newspaper on the twitter saying it roughly translates to Dr Farooq Abdullah asking for used paper, boxes, tin and MLAs to purchase.
