POONCH, Apr 14: The police today registered a case on the intervention of court against a man for allegedly committing unnatural offence on his young wife.
On the directions of local court of CJM, the police today registered a case FIR No. 59/ 2017, under Sections 498-A / 377 RPC against one Jahangir Hussain (30), resident of Kalaban in Mankote area of Mendhar. He was working in Saudi Arabia for the last few years and had returned recently.
The victim, 26-year-old Gulfam Bano (name changed) had lodged a complaint with the Mendhar Police few days back against her husband for unnatural sexual abuse but police was trying to convince the woman for compromise with her spouse. Then she moved to the local court and with the intervention of the court, an FIR was lodged against the accused husband.
SDPO, Mendhar, Shahid Nahiem said that a case has been registered against the husband and the woman was sent for the Medical examination. He said the police party has been sent to arrest the accused who was absconding.
