JAMMU, Sept 22: The events of Western Vocal (Solo & Group), Clay Modelling and Instillation were conducted today in the ongoing ‘Display Your Talent-2017-18’ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, here.
Prof Satnam Kour, Dean Students Welfare, Prof S K Pandita, Chairman Campus Cultural Committee, Dr Anupama Vohra Associate Dean (SW), Dr. Parmil Kumar & Dr AR Manhas, Assistant Deans (SW), Dr Sanjay Sharma, faculty members, students and scholars witnessed the events with enthusiasm.
In Western Vocal (Solo), Himani Vaid from GCW, Parade stood First, Sachin Chowdhary from SPMR College of Commerce stood Second and Sumera Khaliq from GCW, Gandhi Nagar stood Third. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Sumit Sumbria and Shumalini Goswami from The Business School, JU and Mohd. Asif from KC Law College. Dr. Sarabjeet Kour was the Teacher In-charge of the event.
In Western Vocal (Group), the team of The Business School, JU stood First, GCW, Parade stood Second and the Third position was awarded to GCW Gandhi Nagar. The Certificates of Merit was awarded to the team of Govt. MAM College. Ajay Chourasia, Sumit Sharma and Sonika Marwaha were the judges for both the events Dr. Sadaf Shah was the Teacher In-Charge.
In Clay Modeling, Rashmi Singh from GDC Akhnoor, Zahara Batool from Institute of Music and Fine Arts and Diksha Andotra from Dept. of Lifelong Learning, JU stood First, Second and Third respectively. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Shrishti Koul from GCW, Gandhi Nagar and Mehak Sawan from Institute of Music and Fine Arts. Dr. Savita Nayyar was the Teacher In-Charge of the event.
In Instillation, the team of Institute of Music and Fine Arts stood First, the second and third positions were won by Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology and KC Law College. Dr. Madhulika Bhagat was the Teacher In-Charge of the event. Vikas Dogra, Ganesh Sharma, Chander Parkash and Jasleen Singh were the Judges of both the events of Fine Arts.
The event was coordinated by Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor). Manreet Kour, Pallvi Kunwer, Payal, Mohit Mahajan, Bharti Herr, Kanika Sharma, Sona Sharma, Honeyka Mahajan, Anjali Sharma, Shivika Thakur, Abhishek, Arti and Shivani, Divya Sharma and RP Singh managed all the events. The sound was operated by Kulbhushan Thakur.
