OHRD to launch 4 professional
courses this Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, May 2: The Organisation for Human Resource Development (OHRD) has announced launching of four courses related to Management Practices and IT education in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a press conference, chairman, Rakesh Bhardwaj, stated that courses in Tourism and Travel Management, Journalism and Mass Communication, Computer Teacher Training and Industrial Computer Accounting Course would be launched. Referring to the courses, Mr Bhardwaj stated the OHRD-India, an ISO 9001-2000 certified organisation and registered with Jammu and Kashmir Government, will be operational in northern India. He said the courses will be of one year duration and started from this academic year in Jammu. Answering a question, Mr Vikas Gupta, director of the organisation, said trained and qualified staff will be engaged to impart necessary professional training to the students. He further added that fee structure has been tailored to be easily accessible and affordable for the students. The OHRD-India has been established with a vision to make at least one person from every home a computer literate. Mr Gupta said in this emerging era of globalisation and internationalisation, professional education is now an acceptable mode of overall skill enhancement. The three photographs of the Twilight star snapped when he was still a little boy were obtained by the magazine and will appear in its latest issue. The photographs reveal that the dark haired actor is a natural blonde, and show him on a bicycle and eating a sandwich, reported E!Online. No details have been provided by magazine about when and where the photos were snapped. The British actor who is currently shooting for the sequel to the hit vampire drama Twilight, had said in a earlier interview that he had planned to quit acting for a career in music before the opportunity to star in the film came by him. Marketmen said adequate stocks following higher arrivals from producing belts pulled down prices. Dhania prices drifted by Rs 100 to Rs 4,900-8,400 per quintal on reduced offtake. Watermelon kernel prices also dropped by Rs 200 to Rs 16,400-16,500 per quintal owing to slackening demand amid weak advices from producing belts in Jodhpur. Marketmen said comfortable stocks position against reduced offtake by stockists and retailers mainly pulled down dhania and watermelon kernel prices in the wholesale kirana market. Following were todays quotations (in Rs per quintal): Ajwain 6,200-9,200, black pepper common 13,200-13,300, betelnut (kg) 88-112, cardamom brown (Jhundiwali) 15,300-15,400 and cardamom brown (Kanchicut) 17,000-20,000. Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 495-550, cardamom (colour robin) 540-550, cardamom bold 555-565, cardamom extra (bold) 635-655 and cloves (kg) 280-315.
