Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM)-2009 will be held on May 3, 2009 (Sunday) in many cities of the country. Admission to M.Sc (two-year)/M.Sc-Ph.D. Dual degree programs at various IITs, three year MCA & M.Tech. in Geophysical Technology and in Geological Technology at IIT Roorkee, for the academic session 2009-2010 shall be made through JAM-2009
Test Papers: JAM-2009 will have eight Test Papers, namely Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Applications, Geology, Geophysics, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematics and Physics, each of the three hours duration. A candidate can appear in either one or two test papers subject to the restrictions of test schedule, with additional fee for the second test paper.
Eligibility for Admission: A candidate is required to qualify in the corresponding test paper and must also satisfy the minimum educational qualifications and eligibility requirements as specified by the Admitting Institute. Candidates appearing in the final examination of the qualifying degree are also eligible to appear in JAM-2009.

4. Tenders are to be quoted on their own letter pad. The offer is to be enclosed in DOUBLE COVER. The inner cover should be sealed and bear our reference number and the due date. The outer cover should be addressed to DGP CID J&K and should bear on the cover in bold letters Quotation for Micro Digital Audio Recorders. The tenders should be sent either by post or delivered personally against proper receipt.
5. The rate quoted should be inclusive of all taxes, levies, freight/transportation and other charges at the point of delivery and stocking at Jammu. The rates should be written in both words as well as in figures without any over writing and cutting.
6. Quality/make of the article should be clearly indicated. In addition warranty/guarantee conditions of the equipment and after service facilities should be clearly specification in the offer.
7. The firm should mention as LST/CST Registration number in the quotation.
8. The purchaser can ask for a sample of the products offered for test and evaluation. This will be supplied without any obligation on the part of purchaser to accept the same. If the sample is found to conform to the laid down specifications this may be retained and the manufacturer / supplier may be asked to deliver the balance supplies along with the bills. In case of the rejection the sample may have to be collected by the supplier under his own arrangements.
9. The stores shall be supplied within 7 days from the date of issue of the supply order. In the event of the contractor’s / supplier’s failure to complete delivery by the date(s) specified in the contract/order, the purchaser may at his discretion withhold any payment until the whole of the stores have been supplied. If the contractor during the execution of the contract at any stage anticipates a delay in supplies beyond the agreed delivery schedule, he would promptly notify the purchaser, who may admit (as reasonable ground) for further time and grant an extension to the delivery schedule by issue of an amendment to the contract.
Liquidation damages may be imposed for defaults / inordinate delays on the part of contractor.
10. Bids shall remain valid for 90 days after the date of bid opening prescribed by the Purchaser. A bid valid for a shorter period may be rejected by the Purchaser as non-responsive.
11. Bidders should enclose alongwith the Bid offer, full details of the equipment offered with full documentation, descriptive literature, leaflets supplementing the description and point out any special feature of their system. All documents are required to be in English.
12. Payment of the stores supplied will be made ONLY ON BILLS BASIS after the stores have been received in full and in good condition as per the approved samples/specifications.
13. The purchaser reserves the right to negotiate with the lowest bidder after opening the bid.
14. The tender is not transferable.
15. No conditional tender shall be accepted. The tenderer imposing any condition shall strait way be rejected.
16. Tenders containing any overwriting / alteration will be summarily / rejected unless countersigned by authorized signatory.
17. Subsequent variation of price (after supply order is placed) will not be permissible.
18. DGP CID, J&K will have full powers to reject or accept any tender, part of the tender without assigning any reason and without any legal obligation. In case of any dispute the decision of this office will be final and binding.

Information to Tenderer
1. The Tender issue Authority reserves the right to refuse issue of Tender forms/Documents to any contractor if not satisfied with their proof eligibility without assigning any reason thereof.
2. The Tender received after the fixed date and time shall neither be opened nor considered at all. The date and time of Receipts of such Tenders would be marked on the envelope by the Tender Receiving Authority of his office representative. The disposal of the Tender document will be either return of this envelope to the contractor/firm casting the Tender or release of CDR but this will be done only after the concerned gives any undertaking for any of these two choices clearly mentioning that he would have no claim whatsoever over this contract. In case the Tenderer does not come forward with the undertaking the envelops will remain in safe custody till its final disposals.
Never this will not debar the department to proceed further in the matter to open other bids, allotment of the contract and take up the execution.
3. Tender not accompanied with the Earnest Money shall be rejected.
4. In case of ‘last’ day having been declared as Qazetted Holidays the next working day shall be considered as the last date of Receipt of Tenders.

10. The contractor quoting their Rates in Above/Below percentage of the sanctioned Schedule of Rates 2004 (not workable Rate) shall support their Rates with the Analysis by which they arrived at the said quoted rates otherwise their Tender shall be rejected without any reason.
11. The Departmental material of all sorts shall be issued to the contractors at the Prevelant stock Rates from time to time. However the present stock rates are as under :-
a) Cement at Rs 400/- (On cash payment).
b) Iron of all sorts at Rs 3500/- (on cash payment)
12. The contractor should start the work within seven days of issue of allotment letter. In case of failure to do so action under the Relevant clause of the NIT shall be taken.
Eligibility /Pre qualification
