TRIBUTE

‘‘Life is all just froth and bubbles; two things stand out alone;

Kindness in another's trouble, courage in your own.’’

Today we feel proud to record our sincere homage to our parents for their values, vision and deeds which have paved our path in life. Our father's entire life can be aptly described as that of a true Karamyogi. Having lost his father at an early age, the responsibility of holding together the entire large family comprising elderly grand mother, mother, brother and two young sisters fell on his shoulders, especially during the turbulent times of partition of India. Further he also provided the best education, moral values and comfort to his own children. In the professional sphere, for three decades after independence he was keenly involved in the qualitative assessment and utilization of the predominantly inferior coal deposits in the states of Bihar, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, MP, AP, Assam, J&K etc. However, we shall always remember him as a human being par excellence who spread happiness through love, dedication and kindness to his family and others. The last five years of his life were dedicated towards upliftment of economically weak students of schools and colleges in Jammu, in his capacity as the first President of Sitawanti Sarin Charitable Trust and even today this Trust continues to provide scholarships to the needy students. We shall also be humble to state that during his journey through life, he was duly and devotedly assisted by our mother. Our mother's life was confined to serving the elders, nurturing the youngsters and taking care of the terminally sick relatives. Our mother strongly believed that ‘‘The hands that help are holier than the lips that pray.’’.

We are indeed grateful to our parents for blessing us with love and happiness. We pledge to imbibe these values in our children and help transmit them in the younger generation.

‘‘Deep in the heart lies a picture of loved ones laid to rest; In the memories frame we shall keep it, since they were amongst the best’’.

It is circulated for information of all the concerned Departments, that auction of condemned vehicles, used Spare Parts, Tyres, Tubes and batteries etc. of State Motor Garages Department and other Government Departments of Jammu Division shall be conducted by the State Motor Garages Department as New Plot, Jammu with effect from 8th April 2008 to 10th April 2008.
Accordingly, all the Departments are requested to furnish the list of such vehicles which have the relevant Government sanction for auction alongwith the following information/ documents, to this office by or before 09.03.2008:-
(I) Information :-
a) Vehicle Reg. No.
b) Type of vehicle
c) Model (Year of Purchase).
d) Book value (Purchase value)
e) Un-ledden weight (Approx Weight) of vehicle.
f) Date of grounding of vehicle.
g) Present location of vehicle
h) Period upto which token tax has been paid.
i) Whether Registration Certificate available or not.
j) Revenue Account Head No. of the Department to which sale proceeds of auctioned vehicle is to be remitted.
k) Name of the liasion officer/ authorized representative with contact number.
II Documents
a) Copy of Government sanction with regard to auction of vehicle
b) Ist. Two pages of Registration Certificate of concerned vehicle.
The liaison officer/authorized representative with concerned department shall remain in constant touch with this office till the time the auction of a particular vehicle of their department is concluded.

For and on behalf of the Governor of J&K State, the Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Division Rajouri as his representative, invites sealed tenders affixed with revenue stamps of Rs. 4/- and valid for a period of 90 days are invited from registered SSI Units/firms dealing in manufacturing and fabrication/launching of steel superstructure for the following bridge so as to reach in the Office of the Chief Engineer PW(R&B) Deptt. Jammu on or before 15.03.2008 upto 1400 hours who shall open this on the same or any other subsequent day convenient to him. The Chief Engineer PW(R&B) Deptt. Jammu reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tender without assigning any reasons thereof. The CDR should be pledged to Chief Account Officer to Chief Engineer PW (R&B) Deptt. Jammu/Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Division, Rajouri.
The tender should reach by post courier/registered covers with the name of work and address prescribed on the envelopes.
