Upgrading sports
infrastructure
Sir,
Sports in the
State should be accorded due recognition. Given
the talent available in the state it is high time
that the authorities devote greater funds for the
development of sports in the state.
The recent
revolution in cricket is testimony to the fact
that now sports persons who do well in sports
like cricket can earn a good amount of money and
thus can take cricket as a full time career. This
should not be limited to the cricket only but to
other sports.
The State has an
innate talent in sports. Football was vastly
popular and attracted thick crowds. Even players
like Yousuf Dar and Ab Majid Kakroo played for
the National Football team. Same is case with
hockey and athletics wherein sports persons from
Jammu have done great. Take Judo, here in this
game or other related sports, sportsmen of the
State have done excedingly well and have even
brought honour to the State by winning even top
titles. In this context it is highly important
that the authorities in the Government devise a
long term plan which would help to hone and hunt
best talent available in the State so that young
boys and girls increasingly take to sports and do
well in it. Sports has now become a multimillion
industry but unfortunately the State has a poor
share in it which needs to be reversed.

Fostering relationships
Sir,
Relationships are
like ships that sail through the harbour of peace
responsible enough to render the services of
safety to all individuals around.
Any mutual,
healthy interaction between two individuals is
what is called a relationship. The real essence
of a healthy relationship is to leave behind
overgrown egoes and self implicated mindsets.
Life will be enjoyable provided we are ready to
come forward and accept our weaknesses and try to
come out of circumstantial and emotional
breakdowns.
For a healthy
relation, it is not enough that we abstain from
evil actions. It is not enough that we learn to
control our tempers so that in the moment of
stress we do not say any unkind words. We must
see inside our very being. We must look to the
source of our weaknesses. Then we can build for a
better and balanced life. A matured relationship
is shaped on sense of responsibility. Otherwise
it will seem like a ship which does not have an
anchor. Opportunists can never have a healthy
relationship. Responsibility strengthens the ties
between human beings and frees them from the
bonds of selfish attachment.
Mutual respect is
another aspect on which do relationships mature.
Some people fail in their personal relationships
because they cease to have we have to develop a
sort of mutual love and friendship between
people. Real love has to be developed and
fostered this in turn will foster better
relationships between spouses, siblings and
friends etc.
Yours etc....
