1. Tenders should be affixed with Revenue Stamp of J&K State worth Rs. 4/- and should be addressed to the official designation of Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Const. Divn. No.1 Jammu by registered post/Speed post/Courier only and should reach in his office/Asstt. Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Sub Divisional Office Samba on or before 04-01-2008 upto 1400 hours.

2. Tender shall be opened on the next day or any other subsequent date convenient to tender opening authority Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Const. Divn. No.I Jammu in presence of the tenderers who may like to remain present at the time of the opening of the same.

3. While putting the work to tender sale tax certificate issued by Sales Tax Department should be furnished by the contractor/firm. Sales tax shall be deducted as applicable.

4. Registration card should be renewed for the year 2007-2008 well before the date of receipt of tender, if not only shall be entertained subject production of proof of having remittance of renewal fee in the divisional office (Ref. to G.R).

5. Bank Draft for Rs. 500/- having Micre No. of Bank duly pledged to the Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Construction Divn. No. 1, Jammu non-refundable as a pre-qualification certificate and no over dated Bank Draft shall be entertained and also name of Contractor/Nomenclature of work should be written on the main envelop.

6. Time of completion is the essence of tender. After the completion of allotted date, the work will be put to fresh tender at what stage it may be at the risk and cost of the tenderer.

7. The work shall have to be completed by the contractor within stipulated time period mentioned above and in emergency cases if work allowed to continue beyond expiry period then the current stock rates of key construction material shall be applicable rather than the advertised in the NIT.

8. The bidder shall adopt the % age rate mentioned only which requires the bidder to quote above or below % age on the advertised items except for the items for which item for which item rate has been asked for otherwise the tender shall be straightway rejected.

Tender Notice No. 16 of 2007

For and on behalf of the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir state, sealed Tenders are invited affixed with Rs 5/- revenue stamp for the supply of ‘‘Pre-Printed Registration Card’’ to be used on Dot Matric Printer for the year 2007-08 as per the details given in the tender documents (Tender form, Terms & conditions of Tender Notice & specimen of the Pre-Printed Registration Card) from those firms who are registered with Health & Medical Education Department, J&K. These tender documents can be had on written request during all working days upto 10-01-2008 (Thursday) against the Non-refundable cash amount of Rs 500/- in general and Rs 250/- for local SSI Unit holders from the office of Principal, Govt Medical College, Jammu (Chairman, Provincial Purchase Committee).

The Rate contract thus issued shall be valid for a period of 12 months, extendable for a further period of 90 days from the date of issue of Rate Contract or till such time the new Rate Contract is finalized and issued, whichever may be earlier.

The tender should be accompanied with an earnest money deposit in shape of CDR (Call Deposit Receipt) for Rs 20,000/- (rupees twenty thousand only) from any Nationalized Bank/Scheduled Bank preferably the J&K Bank Ltd).

The rates should be quoted against each item of the tender both in words and figures without cutting, tempering and transparent tape should be applied on quoted rates. The Provincial Purchase Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any tender or any part of the tender without assigning any reasons thereof.

The tender not fulfilling the laid down terms & conditions will be out rightly rejected
