Improve roads in
Poonch
There
is no doubt that the Govt has
opened its coffers for the
development of the State but the
quality of deve-lopment is
suspect. The executing
authorities are not spending
funds properly.
In
this context improvement of roads
was started in Poonch but the
work is substandard. The road
from Kanoyian to Nakhan Wali
Sarak was black topped. All the
technicalities were ignored while
blacktopping the road. Black
topping was undertaken in winter
which it is not thought feasible
from engineering point of view.
Given the climatic conditions and
flow of traffic, on this approach
road it was suggested that 40 mm
premix top be laid instead of 20
mm. This would have made the road
more durable. It is requested
that the funds released are used
in an optimum way so that
meaningful development takes
place. Otherwise funds released
for Poonch roads upgradation will
go down the drain.
