JAMMU, Feb 11: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice K S Radhakrishnan and Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain today admitted a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging establishment of Kashmiri Muslim Migrant Colony on forest land and issued notices to Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, Commissioner Secretary Forest, Chief Conservator of Forests, Chairman of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) and DFO Social Forestry Division. The DB also directed respondents to file counter affidavit within a period of four weeks.....more

While a section of police has recommended registration of a FIR against DM’s official and three Investigating Officers (IOs) of Domana police station, another section wants the request (for registration of a case) to come from the present District Magistrate as the file had gone missing from his office.....more
