DSS
delegation to meet Prez, PM in Delhi: Charak
Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU,
Aug 14: Dogra
Sadar Sabha (DSS) has condemned the anti-national
forces and some Kashmiri leaders for their
provocative statments which created communal
tension in Kishtwar town.
Addressing a press
conference here today, president of the DSS
Gulchain Singh Charak alleged that statements of
PDP leaders including Mehbooba Mufti and
separatists added fuel to the fire and provocated
people, causing communal tension in Kishtwar,
Rajouri and some other areas of the region. He
warned such leaders of serious consequences for
provocative acts which may cause threat to
Kashmiriyat and people of both communities
throughout the country.
While reacting
strongly to the statements of Mehbooba Mufti for
her claims of two and half districts of Jammu
region, Mr Charak asked the PDP leader to improve
her knowledge and read geography or join the
pre-schooling. Mr Charak regretted that such
display of immaturity on the part of the head of
a party like PDP is most unfortunate especially
for the people of Kashmir. He alleged that PDP
leadership is mainly responsible for such
bloodshed and killings of over 20 innocent
Kashmiris and that too, was the result of her
provocative remarks. The people of Kashmir are
now realising that these leaders are real
culprits who are playing with the emotions of
people merely for their vote bank. They are least
bothered about their miseries, bloodshed or
killings. He said DSS will not tolerate any such
move which divides the people on regional or
communal lines. He claimed that a delegation of
Sabha will go to Delhi and meet President, PM and
UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi seeking immediate
solution of the problem.
The DSS leader
appealed the Sangarsh Samiti and Kashmir Action
Committee members to initiate dialogue and
resolve the crisis. He further pointed out that
studies of students, business of traders and
other sections of society was facing irreparable
loss. Mata Vaishno Devi and Shri Amarnath
pilgrimage has also been affected with the
ongoing agitation, Mr Charak maintained.

campuses then why SMVDU has not been granting any
sort of reservation of local students for

SMVDU was opened to facilitate quality technical
education to students of the State but the self
styled attitude of the university authorities
denied Jammu students their right. He also took
exception to the fact that majority of teachers
there were also non-locals.

added that when the entire Jammu was under
