JAMMU, Apr
9: The Government
today promulgated an ordinance
amending Jammu and Kashmir
Reservation Act, 2004. Under the
amendment any person appointed
against any available vacancy on
the basis of being a resident of
backward or LAC area shall serve
in such areas for a period of not
less than seven years. If the
post is not available in the
area, he will be posted in
nearest adjacent backward area.....more
