Obscene posters

Sir,

Honestly writing, this is my about tenth letter in your esteemed paper condemning the dirty culture of nude movie posters spread on all the walls of Jammu city and also outside the respective cinema halls, particularly at Raghunath Bazar-City Chowk area, Shakuntla Chowk/ B.C. Road, Boys hostel Bakshinagar area and Gandhinagar Gole Market area . Not only me, but so many other awakened citizens of Jammu city express serious concern about this problem.

It is not understandable that why these nude posters are openly allowed to be pasted in the open places. Where is our State Government to notice this chaotic invasion on our culture or is it not the concern of our Government? Moreover, why the owners of Jammu cinema halls, being the residents and part and parcel of this society, are so indifferent about its moral side-effect on all of us, particularly the young generation? The ladies of our society ( our mothers, sisters and daughters) while moving on Jammu roads and streets face awkward position on seeing the nudity mushroomed by these movie posters. Why all of us do not understand that the dirty culture of these nude posters depicting under garments, naked bodies, kisses, embracing and hugging etc. is detrimental and lethal to the mental and psychological development of our children whose tender minds are being polluted and the result is daily sex scandals we are witnessing besides other derailment and confusion in the young and fresh minds which are virtually meant for good deeds .

Why do not we nip the evil at the bud by uprooting the root of cause as these posters are generating, motivating and hypnotizing the delicate human minds of our children to slip towards immoral activities? Why do not the cinema owners confine their activities only within the four walls of their cinema halls instead of pasting and displaying the still photographs of vulgar, indecent and nude movies by way of posters, bill boards and other cut outs here and there in public places.

Within covered cinema hall, the cinema hall owners may exhibit any indecent vulgar movie where one can enter the hall on his/her own, but general public and passers by must not at all be affected on the roads and public places by the still posters. Otherwise it is force and all passers by to glance over these posters to be hooked to come in hall and promote the vulgar movies business.

Hope our Government as well as other social organizations of our society and above all the cinema hall owners of Jammu city shall on priority basis see the psychological and moral effect of all these nude posters of movies on the delicate minds of young generation of our society and shall take all remedial measures to stop this mushrooming evil as I feel that this evil and problem needs priority over all other issues, if we are really sincere to see our society rich in education, health, discipline, moral, culture, law and order etc.

Yours etc…

Conservation of wild life

Sir,

Wild animals are inhabitants of this world since unmemorable time even before the existence of mankind. They have contributed a lot in the development and evolution of other species and human being is befitting example of this which has evolved from apes. Fauna conservation is the buzzing word of 21st century and is the vital resources of a nation. They are very important part of our ecosystem and disturbance in any of the species may pose a great threat to the very existence of human being.

In my view wild life conservation is the conservation of the world. Establishment of national park and wild life centuries are the few steps taken by the Government which further strengthen the ideology of conservation of animals. Deforestation and industrialization poses a major threat to these animals as it has rendered them homeless by reducing their natural habitat. Nowadays, we frequently heard about the attacks of wild animals at public places which are directly linked with the aforementioned point.

Today move should not be only to conserve tigers but all the endangered species. Countries must take the appropriate steps to conserve the animals and poaching or killing of animals in conservation specified zones must be banned and stringent action must be taken if one disobeys the law of land. Animals not only serve the human being when they are alive but even after their death they give us valuable things which is used as leather and in manufacturing of medicines etc.

Finally, as per my views a balance has been made by the nature itself and if we try to unbalance it in any way then we should get ready for the natural calamities to happen. It would always wise to conserve wild animals for the perpetuation of life on this globe.

Yours etc...
