SRINAGAR, Oct 7: The high level inquiry conducted by Financial Commissioner Home, B R Kundal, has held the truncated Managing Director of J&K State Forest Corporation, Ejaz Ahmed Bhat, responsible for creating artificial scarcity and facilitating import of timber through a middleman from some foreign countries. Report of the 25-day-long investigation, which also indicates involvement of a senior PDP Minister, is being submitted to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad immediately after his return from New Delhi on Monday or Tuesday. Crime Branch has, meanwhile, established charges against Bhat and a challan is likely to be produced in court in a couple of days....more
