FOR ATTENTION OF THE DEALERS REGISTERED UNDER THE J&K GENERAL SALES TAX ACT, 1962

The Government vide Notification SRO 390 dated 16.11.2007 afforded an opportunity to the dealers who have filed their returns/revised returns for any assessment year upto 31.3.2005 and have paid the admitted tax due thereon but are yet to be assessed and those dealers who are yet to file the returns for the period but have paid the admitted tax and have not been assessed so far. Such dealers shall be deemed to have been assessed, for the period for which the assessment is pending subject to fulfillment of conditions as laid down in the said SRO. The last date for filing of returns alongwith relevant documents has been notified as 31.12.2007.

For any enquiry/information in this context the dealers may contact the concerned Commercial Taxes Officers or office of the Additional Commercial Taxes (Adm) Jammu during the office working hours.

POLICE HEADQUARTERS J&K JAMMU

GIST OF NIT NO. 13/2007 DATED 20/11/2007

For and on behalf of the Governor J&K State, sealed tenders on plain paper affixed with Rs 5/- Revenue stamps are invited from Original Manufacturers, authorised dealers and registered firms for the supply of Traffic items as specified in the Annexure ‘‘A’’ which should reach Police Headquarters J&K Jammu on or before 07.12.2007 at 1500 hours. The tenders shall be addressed to IGP (Hqrs) PHQ J&K C/o Director General of Police J&K Jammu.

The tender fees of Rs 1000/- in the shape of crossed demand draft favourin Chief Accounts Officer PHQ, J&K, payable at Srinagar should be furnished alongwith tender offer. The tender offer will not be entertained without tender fees. However Govt/Semi Govt concerns may be exempted from such payments, subject to prevailing rules etc.

The tenders will be opened on 08.12.2007 at 1100 hours at Police Headquarters J&K, Jammu in presence of intending tenderers who may choose to be present. In case of unforeseen circumstnaces, the date of opening will be next working day.
