SRINAGAR, Nov 18: Of the 100-odd unauthorised sawmills running in brazen violation of Supreme Court of India orders in the most sensitive 'A' zone in Jammu and Kashmir forests, Forest Protection Force (FPF) authorities have demolished three in Khansahab area of Budgam district today but not before 13 officials were left wounded and fractured in a four-hour-long clash. All of these unauthorised sawmills have been found operating with unauthorised connections provided by Power Development Department (PDD) without any entry in official records for over the last 10 years......more
