Par panel for insurance cover to students in J&K

NEW DELHI : An insurance cover to students in the militancy-hit Jammu and Kashmir would be an effective tool for enhancing retention and enrollment in the State, a Parliamentary Panel has said. Noting that the insurance companies were reluctant to the proposal, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on HRD said the State Government would have to take a "leading as well as active role" for the purpose. ....more
