Incharge
Principals demand immediate confirmation
Excelsior
Correspondent
JAMMU, Oct 29: The
chairman of J&K Principals Forum,
Didar Singh has strongly criticised the
failure of the State Government in the
regularization of about 900 incharge
Principals awaiting their confirmation
since 1998 onwards.
While
addressing a meeting of Principals at
Samba, Didar Singh condemned the futile
exercise of the Administrative Department
in School Education and stressed that the
only way to achieve the desired goal of
regularization of Incharge Principals and
higher Officers was to take up the matter
in the State Cabinet for regularization
as One Time Exception to
clear the backlog.
Didar
Singh regretted that deliberate delay in
the regularization of Principals has
badly affected the functioning of
institutions at Higher Secondary level
and also damaged the working zeal of
individuals who are on the last leg of
their service and some of them have
already gone on the superannuation in the
incharge capacity..
The
meeting appealed Peerzada Mohd Sayeed and
MoS S Manjeet Singh for immediate
intervention to get regularization of
Incharge Principals from State Cabinet.
The acute shortage of staff and lack of
other infrastructural facilities were
also discussed, which have been hampering
the smooth functioning of institutions.
