JAMMU, Oct 25: Akhil Bharatiya
Vaidik Dharam Prachar Ashram incharge
Swami Nirmal Swaroop Ji Mahraj has said
that inter-caste marriages are against
the Sanatan Dharam.
Addressing
a press conference here today, Swami Ji
criticized those political parties and
leaders who are supporting the
inter-caste and inter community
marriages. They (political parties) are
only playing politics with the religion
for their petty interests.
He said
the holy Geeta and Ramayana have also not
allowed the inter-caste marriages while
dismissing their contention that
inter-caste marriages strengthen
secularism. "The people in past who
were not indulging in inter- caste
marriages were much secular than
us", he added.
Swami Ji
said he has launched a drive in
association with the like minded and
religious persons against the inter-caste
marriages to apprise people about their
disadvantages.
He,
however, said the people can play a great
role in launching a campaign against the
inter-caste marriages by themselves.
Swami Ji
who was on a three days visit to J&K
State, said his main motto is to spread
the message of Sanatan Dharam in the
