In human
killing
I
Sir,
My hats off to the writer of
the daring front page story, titled
"No condemnation from Valley"
(DE, Oct 13)''. There is no second
opinion to what has been written in the
story by Mr. Fayyaz. Unless these so
called human right activists,
politicians, self made public spokesmen,
so called leader of the so called freedom
struggle in Kashmir, wake up and fight
against these criminals responsible for
thousands of killings including the one
of Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed , coming generations
will never pardon them. God will never
forgive them.

Sir,
Kudos to Ahmed Ali Fayyaz
for showing courage to put to shame all
and sundry who claim to be Massiahs of
people of The sate suffering at the hands
of trigger happy barbarians. This should
be an eye opener to them and they should
do some soul searching and put an end to
whole gamut of grinding own axe. Kashmir
has bled enough. Let everyone who matters
arise above personal interest and work
for bringing peace to the wailing land.

Unemployment
and retiring age
Sir,
This is in-reference to the
news titled ''Secretariat employees meet
Chief Minister,'' published in this
paper, on 5th October, in which the Chief
Minister has promised to consider the
demands regarding enhancement in
retirement age alongwith employment
package for un-employed youth.
In this connection, it is
not understood as to why the Chief
Minister has not totally refused to
oblige raising of retirement age as in
each and every family of the State
unemployed highly qualified youth and
unemployed and have no hope of their
adjustment in life and their parents too
are feeling insecure during their old age
due to unemployment to their children as
such a grave situation has been created
by this unemployment problem and in these
circumstances to raise the demands for
enhancement in retirement age which
stands already raised from 55 to 58 yrs
from 1-1-1987 is totally unjustified.

Wildlife
protection
Sir,
An article published in your
paper titled '' Wildlife protection on
(Oct 8) deserves appreciation, especially
for protected area network. I fully agree
with the views of Mr. Shawl that wildlife
department is suffering from a lot,
because neglect and there are almost no
serious caretakers of wildlife
conservation issues. The protected
network area under wildlife is also
scanty, which calls for extension largely
in the light of vanishing wildlife
species like Markhor, Hangul, Muskdeer
and many others. Stagnation of promotion
opportunities to wildlife
officers/officials also requires
consideration by the Jammu and Kashmir
Government. This will definitely assist
in increasing the work efficiency.
