Eligibility
criteria for all Diploma courses is Matriculation
with 40% marks for general and 37% for the
students belonging to the reserved categories as
per the SRO 126 dated 28/06/1994. However the
students should have passed English, Math &
Science at Matriculation level.
The students
belonging to the states other than J&K, with
40% marks in aggregate having passed English,
Math & Science at 10th can also apply for
admission to the Private Polytechnics.
The complete

accompanied with the attested copies of the
following certificates/documents must reach to
the office of the Secretary, J&K SBOTE,
Block-A, Old Secretariat Srinagar/Govt.
Polytechnic premises, Bikram Chowk Jammu

Persons interested
in training as Paragliding Instructor/Guide
Paragliding Pilot/Tandem paragliding Pilot who
fulfill the below eligibility criteria may apply
on prescribed format to the Director Tourism
Jammu.
Eligibility
Criteria:- Applicants should
a) be permanent
residents of Jammu & Kashmir State ;
b) 10+2 with
Science and atleast 55% marks;
c) be between 18
years and 30 years of age;
d) be reasonably
fit and not suffering from any medical condition
which could compromise themselves or others
whilst partaking in Paragliding;
e) Have basic
knowledge about paragliding having attended camps
organized by the Tourism Deptt., the Department
of Youth Services and Sports or any other
recognized body in this regard;
Or
be sportsmen
having represented College/University or the
State as a member of an athletics or sports team;
f) have good moral
character and should not have been convicted for
any criminal offence
Application forms
can be obtained from the Accounts Officer,
Directorate of Tourism, Jammu on payment of Rs
50/- on any working day upto 14-10-2006 during
working hours.
Applications
alongwith 3 passport size photographs and
certified copies of certificates supporting their
eligibility as per above criteria should reach
Tourist officer, Tourist Reception Centre, Jammu
by 3 PM on 16-10-2006.
Only such
applicants are found eligible after scrutiny will
be called for further selection process.

06 marks out of 60. Similarly a unit carrying 10
marks is given 08 marks out of 80 marks.
iii) The Schools
shall start evaluation of Answer simultaneously.
iv) Music
Painting/Art & Drawing and Home Science is
meant for Blind, Deaf & Dumb candidates only,
who can offer any two of these subjects in lieu

It is Notified for
the information of all the concerned that the
students who are more than 40% Physically
disabled (Deafness, Dumbness, Blindness, Lower
Vision, Leprosy Cured, Hearing Impairment,
Loco-motor disability, Mental retardation, &
Mental Illness and the like) of permanent nature,
of Secondary School Examination (Class 10th)
& higher Secondary Part -II (Class 12th) have
to pass the examination if he/she secures,
atleast only 28% marks instead of 33% in
Secondary School Examination and 31% marks
instead of 36% in case of Higher Secondary Part -
II Examination in each of the five subjects save
in English, where only 28% marks are required to
pass. Where-ever practical examination is
involved. This percentage of 28% and 31% shall be
required by a candidate in theory and practical
examination separately.
This Regulation is
in addition to chapter X (Examination General)
17, (iii) and 24, (i). It is also mentioned here
that physically disabled candidates have to
produce a certificate from District Medical Board
(Competent Authority appointed by Directorate of
Health Services Kashmir/Jammu) or documentary
proof from Department of Social Welfare J&K
in support of their claim.
Moreover, no
Examination fee/other fees shall be charged in
cases of Disabled students (Deafness, Dumbness,
Blindness, Lower Vision, Leprosy Cured, Hearing
Impairment, Loco-motor disability, Mental
retardation & Mental Illness) who are more
than 50% Physical handicapped of permanent
nature.

Application on
prescribed proforma for grant of scholarship for
Post Matric Level courses are invited from the
students belonging to SC/ST/OBC and physically
Handicapped categories studying outside and
within State of J&K. The scholarship includes
tuition fee and all compulsory non-refundable fee
paid by the students studying in Govt. or private
Institutions recognized by the Govt/UGC/Board of
Technical Education as per fee structure approved
by Govt. Besides maintenance allowance is also
admissible under rule. The application forms
should be accompanied with the certificates
mentioned hereunder duly recommended by the Heads
of concerned institutions and forwarded through
the concerned District Social Welfare Officers.
a) Permanent
Resident Certificate.
b) Caste/Category
certificate.
c)
Parents/Guardian Income Certificate from
concerned Tehsildar in case of students whose
parents guardian are non Govt. employees. In case
of employed parents/guardians salary certificate
issued by the concerned Drawing & Disbursing
Officer is required along with affidavit that the
income from all sources does not exceed the
prescribed limit, which is as under:-
1. For SC students
Rs. 1.00 lakh per annum.
2. For ST students
Rs. 65,290/- per annum.
3. For
OBC/Physically Handicapped students Rs. 44,500/-
per annum.
d) Marks
certificate (duly attested by a gazetted officer)
for the last three years examination passed.
e) Bonafide
certificate of the concerned institution.
f) Passport size
photographs to be pasted on application forms.
g) Receipt of fee
of the concerned course.
h) Promotion
certificate in case the student has passed the
previous examination for which scholarship
already received.
i) Hostel
certificate (in case the applicant desires to
avail the Hostel facility).
j) The scholarship
to the students of private institutions is
admissible only to the institutions affiliated
with the universities recognized by the
Govt./UGC/Board of Technical Education.
k) Utilization
certificate of previous amount of scholarship.
The application
forms for the year 2006-07 should reach office of
concerned Distt. Social Welfare Officers in case
of students studying within the State and
Directorate of Social Welfare Jammu in case of
students studying outside the State by or before
30th of November 2006. The applications received
after the prescribed date will not be
entertained.
