"The UPA has to take Opposition into confidence and be firm in dealing with terrorism," said BJP State president Dr Nirmal Singh while talking to reporters here today after his return from three days Pugwash meet held at Cairo from November 11 to 16.

It (UPA Government) should also take steps to hold seminars and conferences to discuss the internal issues like self rule and autonomy, he added.

The BJP leader said while keeping his view point in the meeting, he also made it clear that J&K on Indian side consists of three regions whose aspirations are contradictory and exclusive to those of separatists.

"My views were also that happenings in POK and Gilgit-Baltistan can’t be overlooked and it is now no secret that the people there are clamouring for democracy or a system of Government in which their say is real and effective", he added.

He said the conference was told in unequivocal terms by him that so long as the cross border terrorism exists, the possibility of peace process moving forward is remote.
