Jammu, Nov 11: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu, Subhash Chander Gupta today awarded 22 years and six month rigorous imprisonment to four militants, working at the instance of ISI of Pakistan, namely Altaf Ahmed, Mohd Azad, Jahangir Hussain, Ikhtiar Ahmed all residents of Village Fazalabad, Tehsil Surankote District Poonch and declared Janat Gul Commander Hizbul Mujahideen of Pakistan and Khalid Javid of Surankote as absconders while initiating proceedings u/s 512 CrPC against them..........more

SRINAGAR, Nov 11: Roughed up and held by two Police parties over the seizure of a truckload of illicit walnut timber in a midnight operation, Forest Protection Force (FPF) officials have complained to higher authorities that the staff of Police Stations of Budgam and Khansahib was part of the timber mafia in areas falling under the jurisdiction of Pir Panjal Forest Division. They have complained that two Police parties not only disrupted their seizure of a truckload of walnut timber but also hijacked the truck and roughed up the FPF squad officials in Budgam............more
