Investors
approached the share
brokers to seek
permission for increasing
their stake over the
current cap of 5% and
hoped they wont be
disappointed. This comes
after RBI approved the
increase in cap of FII
holdings in J&K Bank
to 40%.
J&K
Banks stocks
crossed Rs 600/share mark
on the 18th of this
month. While the last two

really market trend but a
specific reaction in the
market on how the bank
has been performing.
" The foreign
institutional investor
appetite has been
overwhelming. The prices
are an indicator of our
performance over the last
six quarters and
expectation for the
coming quarter. Our
decision to focus on
J&K and lend more
within the state is
bearing fruit. At 1.3
times the current book
value, our stock has been
re-rated by the markets.
While bank
executives maintain an
optimistic silent on what
the possible target price
may be, analysts are
holding their buy on the
regional banks
scrip. Over 5 lakh shares
have been traded in the
last three days. This
time last year, the scrip
