Cold wave grips J&K, flights cancelled

JAMMU/SRINAGAR, Dec 3: Srinagar City and Kargil town today experienced season’s first snowfall forcing cancellation of all but one Srinagar bound flights as cold wave intensified in both capital cities as well as other areas of the State. Union Minister for Water Resources Saif-ud-Din Soz was trapped on Jammu-Srinagar highway for more than two hours when heavy snowfall blocked Jawahar tunnel for vehicular movement. Leh-Srinagar and Kargil-Zanskar roads were today closed for six months......more
