PRIME MINISTER'S APPEAL

My Fellow Citizens,

People across the Indian subcontinent have felt the pain and anguish of those who have lost their loved ones and thier livelihoods in the earthquake that ravaged Jammu and Kashmir, on both sides of the Line of Control and parts of Pakistan.

Neither nature's fury nor human compassion recognizes political boundaries. It is in our culture to help one's own and one's neighbours in an hour of need.

The Central Government is extending all cooperation and assistance to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to provide relief and enable rehabilitation. The Government of India has also offered help and assistance to the Government of Pakistan.

II am sure Indian civil society will step forward and contribute to the relief and rehabilitation effort. I appeal to every concerned citizen of our Republic to donate generously to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to help us help those in need.

The office of the Learned Advocate General J&K State (High Court Complex) Srinagar has to purchase 40 nos of Steel Almirah with glass door of the size and specifications given below.

‘‘90’’X34’’X19’’ (excluding the height of stand) with seven shelves making eight compartments. The complete Almirah should be made of 22 gauge sheet with superior quality locks and spray painted thickness of the plain glass should be 4mm.’’

Accordingly for and on behalf fo the Governor of J&K State sealed tenders affixed with five Rupees revenue stamps are hereby invited from the registered firms/supplier of Steel Almirah. They may quote their rates FOR Advocate General’s Office Srinagar/Jammu. The tenders should be accompanied with the earnest money in the shape of CDR for Rs. 5,000/- (rupees five thousand only) pledged to the Accounts Officer Office of the Advocate General Office, J&K State.
