JAMMU, June 20: Two militants of
Hizbul Mujahideen outfit today
surrendered before Army and police along
with a large quantity of arms and
ammunition in Ramban tehsil of Doda
district while a teen-age girl was gunned
down by the militants and her mother
injured in Gool last night. A SPO, who
was seriously injured in last
nights fidayeen attack at Mendhar,
succumbed to his injuries in the district

Heat wave toll over
200
NEW DELHI, June 20: Varanasi and
Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh today simmered
at 47 degrees celsius as the searing heat
wave, pounding vast parts of India,
claimed 24 more lives, all in Uttar
