A delegation of JDA of Jammu and Kashmir called on Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma and Health and Medical Education Minister Suman Bhagat at Srinagar and had threadbare discussion on the demand of hike in stipend of Post-Graduate doctors of Medical Colleges of Jammu and Srinagar and associated hospitals. The first round of the talks ended in deadlock as neither Deputy Chief Minister nor Health Minister could fix timeframe to concede the demand of the striking doctors. The Deputy Chief Minister reportedly assured the doctors that their demand would be considered in the due course of time. A spokesman of the JDA said that Government should immediately solve the issue of hike in stipend of Post Graduates as at the end of the day neither State Government nor the striking doctors would be at a loss but the general public, which is suffering a lot for the past seven days. Meanwhile, the strike of the junior doctors entered 7th day today bringing medicare system to a halt in Government Medical Colleges of Jammu and Srinagar and their associated hospitals. Only those patients are visiting hospitals who require emergency services which are being taken care of by the faculty members and consultants. "The work of the reconstruction of the damaged border fencing along LoC in J&K is going on a war-footing and four to five km of damaged fence in patches has been reconstructed so far," the sources said. Admitting that major damage was caused to the three tier fencing along 740 km of Indo-Pak border in February due to avalanches in the State, the sources said "we will repair it fully during summer season." "The construction of the border fencing commenced last month after the survey to identify the areas and extent of damage caused to the border fence was completed by the engineeing regiment of army," they said, adding the survey was started in the middle of March. Although the King had all luxuries and comforts, he was not satisfied with these luxuries. Ultimately he surrendered before the God and got ultimate peace. He went to Guru Gorakhnathji and got the Diksha and ultimately Guru Gorakhnathji changed his life. However, on the eve of Mantra Diksha more than one lakh devotees including children participated in Diksha in the wee hours. It was urge for getting Diksha from a great saint of Kal Yugya that most of the devotees spent sleepless night in the open ground so that they would not be deprived of this golden opportunity of the life. There was heavy rush of devotees at Bhagwati Nagar Ashram, who had been eagerly waiting for the last 4 years for this auspicious day. Bad weather delays return of Kashmiri Pandits to Valley SRINAGAR, June 12: Bad weather conditions have forced the State Government to delay the return of the Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley by about one month as work on the safe houses is yet to be completed. The process will now start from the last week of July. "Bad weather conditions have hampered the construction work on the safe houses. This would take an additional month now which has forced us to delay the return of the Kashmiri Pandits by one month," State Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Hakeem Mohammed Yasin said. He said the safe houses are expected to be completed by mid-June. The first batch of 220 families of Kashmiri Pandits living in different camps at Jammu and Udhampur was expected to return to the Valley in the last week of June. However, the inclement weather has slowed down the pace of the work on the safe houses with the result that flats in the complex could not be completed on time. Mr Yasin said by the last week of July the work on the safe-houses would be completed. "Already 70 flats are ready and the work on other flats is in full swing. We hope that by July we will be able to finish the work on the safe-houses," he added. The State Government has received applications from 1300 Kashmiri Pandit families living in Jammu, Udhampur and Muthi migrant camps willing to return to Kashmir. "The families to be rehabilitated will be chosen from the applicants and the preference would be given to those who live in camps and are in dilapidated state," the minister said. Official figures suggest that 56,380 Kashmiri Pandit families are living in various parts of the country. Of this, 34,644 families are staying in Jammu and 19,338 in Delhi. A total of 4778 families in Jammu and 237 families in Delhi are still living in camps. "We are at present busy with the arrangements for the Kheer Bhawani Mela at Tulmulla, Ganderbal. Hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits are expected to visit the shrine and participate in the mela. We hope the mela will set the right tone for the return of the Kashmiri Pandits to their homes in the Valley," Mr Yasin said. The State Government has also decided that some of the Kashmiri Pandits will be rehabilitated at the safe houses in Tulmulla. The project is almost complete, he said. Some families who will return from Jammu in July would be housed in the safe houses at Tulmulla near the temple, the minister added. The Kheer Bhawani mela is on June 15 and the State Government has already finalised arrangements for the two-day event. Last year more than one lakh pilgrims visited the shrine at Tulmulla and this year the authorities are expecting a significant increase in that number. (UNI) Don't allow intelligence to be covered with ignorance: Puriji Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, June 12: Swami Hari Chaitnya Puriji Maharaja today asked people not to allow intelligence to be covered with ignorance as it always brings miseries in ones life. Delivering religious sermons on the concluding day of the three-day Virat Dharam Samelan at Parade Ground here today, Swamiji said that such persons whose intelligence is covered with ignorance find themselves doing deep into the marsh (troubles). Such persons think dharma as adharma, benefit as profit, defeat as success, distress as prosperity. Such people in place of observing rightful duties give importance to materialistic pleasures and sense objects. This is why in our country atmosphere of ignorance is increasing day by day. To satisfy, sense organs by way of sense objects one fells in ditch of miseries. The great Guru said that today humanity is ignored and man has become degraded. This aspect of ignorance is of great concern but simply to surrender before the holy feet of Parmatama and know his Dharma. Happiness and miseries come and go as per your karmas and to cherish or repent over the same is ignorance. Due to this ignorance one gets frightened, worried and depressed and not by way of destiny. In Vedas it is clearly defined that knower of Atma is free from miseries and troubles. Referring to the concept of third eye, Chaitnya Puriji said that by opening it, one can see the form of Parmatama (God) or soul. With naked eye one can see the body and form of Prakriti. It was only by the grace of Lord that Arjuna was blessed with third eye to see Viraat Saroopa of Lord Krishna, whereas, in the battle field no any one could see the same. It is only with third eye that Sanjaya revealed the whole episode of Mahabharta to Ditrashtra even if Sanjaya was blind. A person will get himself free from the clutches of worries and troubles if he surrenders to God. With his religious sermons, Swamiji mesmerized and enlightened his devotees and atmosphere echoed in religious fervour. Earlier, in the morning Hawan-Yagya was performed with the chanting of Vedic Mantras by learned Pundits at Geeta Bhawan Parade Ground for the peace in this part of the sub continent and entire world. A large number of people participated in this Yagya. Some prominent persons including Gulchain Singh Charak MLC, Ashwani Sharma (MLA), Ashok Khajuria ( Ex-MLA) and Dr S S Dua also sought blessings of the great Guru.
