Withdraw entry
fees
Sir,
The Govt has
imposed an entry fees of Rs. 5/- for the visitors
coming to the hospital to enquire about the
welfare of the patients as well as to attend to
them. The Govt intent behind imposition of this
less may well be intentioned with a view to
restrict the entry of people to avoid over
crowding in the hospitals besides may be as a
source of revenue. There can not be two opinions
that the institutions like hospitals require an
ambience of serenity and calm which could only be
ensured by restricting the entry of the visitors
into the hospital. That would enable hospital
staff including the doctors to perform well their
duties without much disturbance apparently caused
by the excessive number of visitors.
But there is other
aspect to the problem considering that it is not
only a social obligation to get to know the
condition of their relatives or near and dears
ones admitted in the hospital which have to be
performed but a duty to lend a helping hand to
the ailing depending upon the condition of the
patients.
Most of the people
going to the hospital for treatment belong to the
middle class, and making their relative and near
and dear ones pay Rs. 5/- each for each entry
does not look reasonable.
Therefore, it is
urged upon the Government to reconsider their
move and withdraw this pinching entry fees in the
interest of the patients as well as general
public and earn their good will.

Enforcement of work
culture
Sir,
Recently a
circular has been issued by the Govt regarding
enforcement of work culture punctuality &
performance report, in State Govt. offices. This
has been a commendable job. Regarding enforcement
of above order, Govt should take strict actions
against the violators everyone from top to grass
root level should be held responsible for
violation of Govt order- misuse of official
vehicles, unnecessary official tours &
expenditure on refreshments, entertainments
should also be minimised 'equal work equal pay'
system should also be implemented -Discrimination
between State Govt. offices & PSU's-should
also be stopped-pensionary benefits, timely
disbursement of salary, CPF anti remittances
& conversion of 'COLA' into 'D-A' are the
genuine demands of PSUs employees which needs to
be mitigates by the present regime. Only then,
one can except enforcement of work culture in
semi-Govt, PSU's of State Govt. This also
justifies the slogan 'Equal justification of
present Govt.

Sourav's exclusion
Sir,
The exclusion of
former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has created
much controversy in selection process and shocked
his friends as well as cricket lovers. All are
blaming the team selectors and their approach to
sideline Ganguly from the test team.
Dalmiyas favourite became the scapegoat for
the new Sharad Pawar camp. But a question arises
here : Is it fair to select Jaffar instead of
India's successful captain? This shows somewhat
biased attitude of team selectors. Gangulys
knocks in two innings of Delhi test were not so
bad. Ganguly was lacking confidence due to
continuous failure and continuous criticism. As
the selectors provided him the chance to play in
tests as a allrounder they should have waited for
some time to let Ganguly regain confidence and
form, instead of taking such irresponsible steps.
This is totally the irresponsible attitude of
selectors to humiliate Ganguly and spirit of
Indian cricket.
Yours etc...
