SRINAGAR,
Dec 19: Elected
as president of Jammu & Kashmir National
Conference (NC) for the second consecutive term
of three years, Omar Abdullah today asked both,
militants as well as security forces, allow peace
to return without any more mayhem and bloodshed.
Describing his partys support to Ghulam
Nabi Azads coalition Government as
conditional, Sheikh Abdullahs grandson
berated Congress party as a mistress of mistakes
for Kashmir. He complained publicly that Dr
Manmohan Singhs Government at the Centre
was "completely non-serious" with
regard to holding the exercise of talks with the
Kashmiri leadership. According to him, the
Congress-led coalition Governments Kashmir
policy was "nothing but to humiliate
Kashmiri leaders in the trap of a dialogue
process" which, according to him, had not
moved a step forward beyond the courtesy of a cup
of tea in the last few years............more
