Open more pollution certification centres

There are crowds of scooterists seen around the single Pollution Certification Centre at B C Road (KC Petrol Pump). Is it physically possible for one single unit located at a small place to clear all the vehicles numbering over several lakhs?

The crowds around the said petrol pump at BC Road have been causing heavy traffic jams but no officer worth his posting, cares for it. They are interested in paper work only.

No time frame has been announced, much less published, for getting the vehicles checked. There is no separate counter for women scooterists, which is a shame for the concerned department.

I appeal to the Chief Minister to direct the concerned departments first to open several counters and then only indulge in this harrowing exercise.

Remove pay

anomaly of DEOs

We the Data Entry Operator of Excise & Commercial Tax Department want to bring our problems to the notice of higher authorities especially The Chief Minister & Finance Minister for an early redressal. Way back in 1998 we were appointed by Finance Deptt as Data Entry Operators (DEO) against pay scale of 4000-6000. We were then deputed to Excise and Sales Tax Deptt and consequently some of us were posted as Check Post Lakhanpur. From 1998 to till date we are running from pillar to post for pay anomalies transfers, promotions but no one is heeding our problems. Hundreds of representations have been tabled before the higher authority in this regard, even the Finance Minister on one of his visits assured us to solve our problem, but till date the problem exists there. There exists grievous pay anomalies within and outside the department regarding computer professionals i.e. In excise departemnt some people are working against the pay scale of 5000-8000, doing the same nature of job. In the forest deptt. Computer Operator are working against 6500-10500 again doing the same nature of job.

Now, we request to the Chief Minister & Finance Minister to please solve our problems by formulating an upward caderization, making the post of DEO's transferable, and to remove the pay anomalies. We hope that Justice will prevail and our problems will be solved immediately.

Run matador

service upto

Sangrampur

We the neglected people of Lale-da-Bagh and Sangrampur have been encouraged to raise our demands and put forward the plight of the people of this area, once again, only due to the good and honest working of present administration, otherwise we have lost all hopes and have no trust on the transport authorities who have lodged us from last seven years.

The people of Lale-da-Bagh and Sangrampur have repeatedly requested the transport authorities for permanent matador services up to Sangrampur vide various representations, delegations, and through the various columns of this esteemed paper.

The people of Marh-Gajansoo route in general and Lale-da-Bagh, Sangrampur in particular are suffering a lot due to the heavy rush, monopoly of transporters and lack of required vehicles and lack of monitoring by concerned authorities.

Transport authorities have issued route permits to many matadors for Panjtirthi to Sangrampur route and instead of running on the alloted route all these matadors are plying from Panjtirthi to Anand Nagar, Bohri, and transport authorities are willingly allowing them to do so and may be few individuals from the department are benefitted from all this hanky-panky.

We once again requested to the transport authorities especially to the Minister for Transport to kindly lessen the problems and difficulties faced by our school going children especially the girl students, the women and the senior citizens, by extending the matador service from Udaiwala Bohri to Sangrampur and all these matadors should display the board in bold letters as per their route permit and i.e. "Panjtirthi to Sangrampur"

Open J&K Bank

Branch at Mansar

It is well known that Mansar is a good picnic/tourist spot. It is well populated. I, on the behalf of residents of this area want to highlight the need of a J&K Bank Branch at this area. The people of this area have to go to Majalta, Branch (which is 10 Kms from here). Many old age pensioners widows, physically handicapped cannot cover such a distance to get their meager pension.

There are many shopkeepers and local people who want to deal with J&K Bank if it is opened at Mansar Lake. They can't afford to go to Majalta or Samba Branch. I am fully confident that a branch at Mansar will do good business and fulfill needs of local people.
