SRINAGAR, Dec 15: Officials of
Consumers Affairs and Public Distribution
(CAPD) have unearthed a Liquefied
Petroleum Gas (LPG) scandal in the
Minister incharge Hakeem Mohammad
Yasins home district of Budgam. In
reaction to public outcry that subsidised
LPG refills, supposed to be used in
domestic cooking, were being sold in
black market on exorbitant rates and a
fairly large quota of these cylinders was
surreptitiously going to commercial
users, authorities today seized as many
as 120 cylinders and sealed a number of
business establishments in Budgam.......more
