SRINAGAR, Dec 5: National Conference (NC) president Omar Abdullah today claimed that Gen Pervez Musharraf’s proposal of self-governance as solution to the Kashmir problem was nothing different from the concept of greater autonomy envisioned by his grandfather Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah in 1950s. He said that "thousands of Kashmiris killed in the last 16 years" have given sacrifices to convince everybody from Musharraf to Mufti Sayeed that self-governance or greater autonomy was the only solution to the Kashmir turmoil.........more
