SRINAGAR, Apr 15: In a major setback to militancy in central Kashmir, security forces have eliminated four prominent Pakistani militants at Kanir village in Budgam-Chadoura belt. Officials claimed that in the 24-hour-long operation, troops had wiped out the top brass of Lashkar-e-Toiba but unofficial reports identified the slain militants as the members of Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen............more

JAMMU, Apr 15: Making it clear that Amarnath Shrine Board is the sole authority of Amarnath Yatra, Justice Permod Kohli of the State High Court, in a landmark judgment today held that no interference be caused by any of the State Government agency in the functioning of the Board and the decisions to be taken by it for the smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra. It directed that the State as well as Union of India ( UoI), should at the same time provide adequate security to the Yatris as a constitutional obligation..............more
