Police claims breakthrough in Anantnag blast

SRINAGAR, Nov 1: While claiming that 10 cases of murder on mainstream politicians and Police personnel have been solved in the last few days, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Javed Makhdoomi, today said that Police had achieved a major breakthrough in the IED blast that occurred at Sarnal (Anantnag) on October 24 last. National Conference top brass, including the party’s chief, Omar Abdullah, had had a narrow escape in the explosion, caused on occasion of the Rasm-e-Chaharum of the former Minister Safdar Ali Beig..........more
