For Mother NGO Scheme under RCH Programme

1. Applications are invited for selection of Field NGOs (FNGOs) under RCH Programme being implemented by Department of Family Welfare, Government of India. The FNGO would be a NGO with well-devellped capacity and institutional base with supporting infrastructure for delivery of RCH services such as Maternal & Child Health (MCH), Family Planning Services, Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH), Prevention and management of RTIs etc in the un-served and under served areas in Medical Blocks Majalta, Tikri, Reasi and Pouni of Distt Udhampur & Naushera, Sunderbani and Darhal of Distt. Rajouri.

Criteria for eligibility of Field NGO status :

2. Applicant NGO's should have :-

(a) Registered under the Indian/State Societies Registration Act for minimum period of two years.

(b) Proven experience of working (for two years) in implementing field projects of Family welfare/RCH and in social sector. Experience in provisioning of RCH Services and related training is required.

(c) Preferably implemented a field project in Health and Reproductive Child Health (RCH).

(d) Field experience for at least two years in the geographical area for which it is seeking grant.

(e) Minimum fixed assets of Rs 1 lakh in the name of FNGO.

(f) Office premises & Services delivery center in the Medical Block/PHC where it wants to operate.

(g) The necessary human resource base, with RCH and Social Sector qualification and experience. The FNGO should also have qualified professionals in area of medicine, counselling and finance.

3. The FNGO black listed or placed under funding restriction by any Ministry or Department of the Govt of India, J&K Govt or CAPART is not eligible.

4. Desk Review and short listing of applications and Field appraisal of FNGOs will be done by the PHC.

5. Minimal area serviced by the FNGO would be equivalent to the geographical/service area of the PHC.
