Notification

All the Heads of Recognized Higher Secondary Schools (Government/Private) of Jammu Province are required to submit by 30th January, 2004 positively the photostat copies of Marks Certificates of such candidates who have passed the 5th subject of Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) at Bi-annual Session 2003 and whose result of Higher Secondary Examination part-I (Class-11th) conducted under Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme is withheld on account of submission of the said Marks Certificate, so that their result of Higher Secondary Examination Part-I could be released.

Any Institution failing to submit the required document/information by the stipulated date, a penalty of Rs 250 (Rupees Two Hundred & Fifty) per candidates for each count of 15 days will be charged.

Advertisement Notice No. 01 of 2004

1. Applications on the annexed format captioned ''Application for selection by the J&K Services Selection Board'' are invited for filling the vacancies, particulars of which are indicated in the ''Statement'' appended hereinafter, from the candidates who :-

a. are permanent residents of J&K State;

b. on 01-01-2004 are not :-

i) below the age of 18 years.

ii) above the age of 37 years in case of General Category candidates;

iii) above the age of 40 years in case of SC/ST candidates.

iv) above the age of 39 years in case of Physically Handicapped candidates;

v) above the age of 50 years in case of Ex-Servicemen;

vi) above the age of 50 years in case of candidates already in Govt service;

Note : Candidates who had applied in response to Advertisement notification No. 4 of 98 may also apply enclosing a copy of the receipt for the application submitted earlier as proof along with the application. The age bar will not apply to such candidates.

c) fulfill the academic/professional/technical etc qualifications and other conditions of eligibility shown in Column No. 6 of the Statement as on 2-2-2004 i.e the last date for submitting the applications in person, and as proof attach valid certified true copies of the relevant certificates/testimonials;

d) have remitted into the Govt Treasury Rs 20/- (Rs 10 in respect of SC/ST candidates) in Account Head ''0070- Other Administrative Services- 800- Other Receipts'' and prove the same by enclosing the original Treasury Receipt with their applications;

e) if entitled for reservation benefits, possess the relevant Reservation certificates prescribed by the Government, which are valid on the last date of submission of applications in person.

II How to apply

i. The duly completed applications accompanied by the necessary documents, particularly those mentioned in Column No. 10 of the Application Form, with a recent passport size photograph affixed on its right hand top corner attested by a gazetted officer whose signatures should extend on the application, may be delivered by hand/by post/by courier to the following offices:

a) Deputy Director Employment of the concerned district (except for candidates belonging to the districts of Jammu, Srinagar and the Kashmiri Migrant category).

b) Administrative Officer, Services Selection Board, Old Sectt, Jammu, by the candidates belonging to the district of Jammu as well as the Kashmiri Migrant candidates residing at places other than Delhi.

c) Administrative Officer, Services Selection Board, Parraypora, Barzulla Bagat, Opp. Sir Syed Memorial Institute, Srinagar, by the candidates belonging to the district of Srinagar except Kashmiri Migrants.

d) The Secretary, J&K Resident Commission, New Delhi, by the Kashmiri Migrant candidates residing in the Union Territory of Delhi.

e) Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar of Uri, Gurez, Karnah, Atholi, Nowgam, Desa, Wadwan, Marwah, Dachhan, Paddar, Mahumangat, Bani, Bhalesa, Lohai Malhar, Machhedi, Dudoo Basantgarh, Lander, Bhamag, Thakrakote, Mahore, Nyoma, Nubra, Keran, Machhil, Zanskar from the candidates residing in their territorial jurisdiction at the option of these candidates.

Provided that the applications of in-service candidates are to be routed through the proper channel however, an advance copy of the application along with all the required documents must be delivered in the above manner and within the stipulated period failing which the concerned candidate's eligibility will be assesed as if he were not an in-service candidate.

Provided further that no application which is not complete in every respect shall be entertained and/or accepted.

ii. Each candidate will produce a duplicate copy of his/her application, preferably a photostat copy, on which the receipt of the original application and its enclosures will be recorded by the receiving officials.

III. The selection procedure

a) The last date for the receipt of applications as prescribed above shall be the cut-off date for determining the eligibility with the exception of the age limits which will be determined in terms of (b), the qualifications possessed and experience qualifications and experience acquired thereafter shall not be taken into account for any purpose.

b) The selection will be on the basis of the qualifications prescribed in Column No 6 of the ''Statement'' and an interview though, where any other qualification is considered by the Board to be beneficial and directly related to the performance of the job, weightage may be given therefore as per the norms prescribed by the Board. Possession of higher qualifications would by itself not confer any superior claim for short-listing/selection.

c) Where the number of candidates for the post is more than five times the number of vacancies, the Board will restrict the number of candidates for participating further in the process of selection to a number equal to Five times the number of vacancies on the basis of the marks obtained in the prescribed test/qualification and/or additional weightage for any higher or additional qualification where the Board has provided for any such weightage.

d) Ordinarily, the Board will issue call letters for interviews to the eligible candidates in addition to advertising through the Press and / or electronic media specifying the venue and date on which particular candidates will be interviewed. Hence, the candidates, in their own interest, are advised to keep in touch with the local newspapers, radio and TV announcements and the offices of the Board.

e) At the time of the interview, the candidates must produce the original documents, copies of which were attached with the Application Form, before the Selection Committee so that their eligibility for appearing for the interview can be verified. The candidates who fail to produce the relevant original documents at the time of interview will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

f) The Board will not entertain any claim for the non-receipt of call letter by a candidate for any reason whatsoever nor will it be responsible for such a non-receipt of the call-letter.

g) After holding of interviews, the Board will not entertain any enquiry in respect of any candidate's selection or otherwise till selections are finalised and the select lists are published in leading newspapers at Jammu/Srinagar.

h) A candidate found guilty of impersonation or submitting fabricated/tampered documents or making statements which are incorrect/false or suppressing material information may, in addition to rendering him/her liable for criminal prosecution, be debarred, permanently or for a specific period, from being considered for any or all recruitments made by this Board.

i) Canvassing/lobbying in any form will entail disqualification of the candidate concerned.

j) No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for the interview/test.

NOTIFICATION

Applications on prescribed form are invited for admission to the M. Ed. Course through distance mode, session 2003-04 being offered by the Directorate of Distance Education. Submission of filled in application form without late fee is 20th January, 2004 and with late fee 25th February, 2004. Prospectus-cum-application form can be obtained from the Directorate of Distance Education on payment of Rs 100/- at the sale counter of DDE on each working day from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 pm or by Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of the DIRECTOR, DIRECTORATE OF DISTANCE EDUCATION, UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU, payable at Jammu. If required by post, send the Crossed Demand Draft for the specified amount along with a self-addressed envelope of the size 18 cm x 24 cm bearing postage stamps of Rs 80/-. The minimum qualification for admission to the course is Bachelor's Degree in Education (B. Ed) of the University of Jammu or ay other recognised University.

Notes :

1. NCTE Act is not applicable to the State of Jammu and Kashmir. As such, M. Ed of the DDE is not covered by NCTE guidelines.

ii. The University/Directorate has not authorised any individual or agency to sell the forms or make admission to the course on its behalf. Anybody found indulging in such malpractice shall be liable to be dealt with under law.

Sealed tenders superscribed on the envelope ''TENDER FOR TRANSPORTATION OF STORES'' are invited from reputed and authorised Transport companies for transportation of stores from various places to ITBP Units based at Choglamsar, Leh (Ladakh) and vice versa through truck, ponies and labour/porters. The tenders quoting the rate per quintal be sent so as to reach this office by 24-03-1004 at 1800 hrs. A Board of officers will open the tenders on 25-03-2004 at 1000 hrs in the presence of tenderers or their representatives as detailed by them.

4. Tender documents without earnest money will be summarily ignored. Earnest money will be of Rs 40,000/- (Rs Forty thousand) only. Conditional tenders are also liable to be rejected.

5. The Dy Inspector General (Ladakh) ITBPF is not bound to accept lowest or any tender and reserves the right to accept offer at his discretion and also reserves the right to reject any tender or all tenders without assigning any reason.
