Auction Notice

1. Public Auction of various types of condemned vehicles viz Buses, Trucks, Water Tanker, Tata -407, Jeeps, Matador, Gypsies, Ambassador Cars, Tempo Trax, Motor Cycle etc and condemned/unserviceable MT Stores, Tyres, Tubes, Batteries and various Equipment stores etc. held on the stocks of Police Department shall be held w.e.f -09-03-2004 at Traffic Police Lines Gulshan Ground Gandhi Nagar Jammu from 1000 hrs on wards till its conclusion.

2. The prospective bidders shall have to make security deposit of Rs. 5000/- (five thousand only) (refundable after the conclusion of auction) in shape of CDR of any Nationalized Bank duly pledged to the SSP PTWS Jammu for participating in the auction.

3. The condemned vehicles/motor spare parts and other condemned stores etc shall be auctioned to the highest bidder on "As is where is basis". The successful bidder shall have to pay 25% amount of the accepted bid on spot in cash and shall have to pay the remaining amount in cash within fifteen days after the conclusion of auction, failing which 15% per annum will be charged as penalty on the total accepted bid amount up to two months and thereafter the security deposit and 25% of bid amount will stand forfeited.

4. The successful bidder shall have to lift the auctioned vehicles and other condemned/unserviceable stores etc. within fifteen days positively at his own cost, after which the Department shall not be responsible for the watch and ward of the auctioned articles. Sales tax and other taxes, surcharges if any shall be charged extras as applicable under rules.

6. The Chairman of the auction committee reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning any reasons and his decision shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the auction.
