Kulgam mosque seize ends, 3 militants killed

SRINAGAR, Dec 5: In a major strike, militants detonated a powerful remote-controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and blew up a private vehicle carrying Army soldiers in a village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district Saturday evening, killing nine soldiers including an officer, a Special Police Officer (SPO) and a civilian on spot. Militant outfit, Hizbul Mujahideen, has claimed responsibility for the attack. Meanwhile, three militants, holed up overnight in a mosque in Kulgam area of Anantnag district, were killed this morning. ...............more
