Applications, on prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates for appearing as Private Candidates in the All India Trade Test (ITI Examination) to be conducted in the month of Jan./Feb.2004 by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

Candidates, fulfilling the following criteria/conditions are eligible to apply:

i. Possessing the minimum academic qualification as prescribed by the DGE&T/NCVT for the relevant trade.

ii. Are/were working in establishments located in the J&K State implementing Apprenticeship Training Scheme/establishments covered under Factory Act or registered with any Govt./local authorities.

iii. Possess thus, 5 years working experience in the relevant trade (To be certified by the Head of Institution/Organization and authenticated by a Gazetted Officer under his seal and signatures).

iv. Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 who have failed six times in the Trade Tests for the National Apprenticeship Certificate.

v. Are above 25 years of age as on 1-12-2003.

vi. Are permanent residents of the J&K State.

Important

a. The candidate working in Government Departments shall have to enclose in original a No Objection Certificate from the Head of the Organization/Department.

b. Applicants not working in Government Departments shall have to enclose Unemployment Certificate in original from a Gazetted Officer.

c. The candidates found eligible after scrutiny of the applications, would have to undergo a Test to be conducted by the Department at Jammu/Srinagar/any other convenient place and qualify the same by securing at least 35% marks so as to be allowed to appear in the All India Trade Test.
