SRINAGAR, Oct 10: Visibly disturbed over registration of a criminal case by state Vigilance Organisation against its senior leader Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Shah, National Conference (NC) today offered its hand to political groups, including Peoples Democratic Forum (PDF), to bring down the coalition government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. However, the PDF turned down the offer, saying that it would not ally with the leaders of the NC which, according to it, had been rejected by the people in the last year’s Assembly elections.............more

CM sets up monitoring group on PM’s packages

SRINAGAR, Oct 10: The state government has set up a high level monitoring group under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary for expeditious implementation of Prime Minister’s packages announced for the state.
