Woes
of people
Sir,
The road
from Masjid Chowk to Ranbir Library Chowk
experiences, the maximum traffic both
vehicular and pedestrians. There are
eight to ten schools; Govt. Women
College, Computer Centre, City Palace
Hall, Govt. Quarters, Medical Clinics,
tutorial coaching centres, police
headquarters, Radio Station. Governor
House are also located in this area. Due
to this reason road remains busy both in
summer and winter season. In winter due
to Secretariat the road becomes more
accidental prone. Kachi Chowani is a
meeting place for old city. All the
people get mini buses for different
destinations from Kachi Chowni. All this
create problem for old aged persons, kids
and women folk. Even the essential
services like Ambulance and Fire brigade
tenders are effected due to jam packed
Kachi Chowani. Our request to the
concerned authorities is to take urgent
remedies at the earliest.
...........
The people
of Naranian and Ustad Mohalla are
suffering due to acute water supply. The
water pipes are bursting in front of
Naranian Mohalla entry. There is urgent
need to look into it and do the needful
immediately.
All the
waste material of marriage parties is
being thrown to our Nararian Mohalla in
the entry. It may kindly be looked into
immediately and it should be stopped as
it spreading nuisance in the Mohalla. The
State Bank, Vohra building next to city
palace has not built any out let for
water with the result the water is
directly diverted into the street and it
is creating much problem for the
residents of Nararian street. It also to
be looked into and do the needful.
.............
No street
lights for the past two years have been
installed in this mohalla. The Jammu
Municipality is requested to do the
needful.
......................
The ration
being given under BPL and Anthotia scheme
to the poor people has been looted by
ration dealers with the best knowledge of
Food and Supply Deptt. We request to the
concerned authorities to stop the supply
of ration dealers without proper inquiry
into the matter, as it has been observed
that ration is being sold in the market.
As the
festivals are coming now, there are no
fixed rates of sweets and fruits sellers.
It is shocked to note that the Banana is
sold in Jammu market at the rate of Rs.
35/- to Rs. 40/- per dozen. It seems that
there is no control of any agency over
these dealers due to which the common
people are suffering.
.................
Generally
we see, that the lane and sub lanes are
being encroached by the people who are
selling various commodities. The
Municipal authorities are requested to
look into this menace at the earliest.
Yours
etc...
President
Naranian Mohalla Welfare
Association, Jammu.
