"It is notified for information of all the concerned that the First Stage Test of N.T.S. Examination, 2002-2003 (set by the Board under the National Talent Search Scheme) shall be held on second of February, 2003 from 11.30 A.M. at different District Institutes of Education and Trainings as heretofore.

Students of winter zone who appeared in their Secondary School Examination in Oct. Nov. 2002 (Annual Session) through Kashmir division, students reading in class X in any recognized school situated in the Jammu division including Leh district; class X students of Sainik Schools/Kendriya Vidyalyas/Navodaya Vidyalyas and other schools due to appear in their Secondary School Examination in March-April, 2003 are eligible to appear in the First Stage Test provided they have secured an aggregate of 45% marks in their Class IX examination. However, students belonging to scheduled caste/Scheduled tribe or any other backward category will be eligible to appear in the test if they have obtained an aggregate of 40% marks.

There is no prescribed syllabus for the Test. However, the standard of items will be conforming to the standard of class X Board Examination.

Examination Admission Forms are available from District Institutes of Education and Training and can be had on any working day from 10.30 am to 4 pm. Students desiring to appear in the test have to pay an examination fees of Rs. 50/- through Bank Draft drawn in favour of Chairman, Board. Sealed tenders affixed with Rs 2.00 Revenue Stamps are invited on behalf of Government of Jammu and Kashmir State addressed to Director, Handlooms Development Department, 5-B/C Gandhi Nagar, Jammu from the intending tenderers for supply of the items enlisted in the annexure available with the Directorate of Handlooms. The tender application along with samples must reach the office of the Director, Handlooms Development Department latest by 4th January, 2003 before 4 PM. The tenders shall be opened on 6th January, 2003 at 2.00 PM. in presence of the tenderers who may wish to be present. 1. The intending tenderer(s) shall have to deposit Rs 6,000/- in respect of items indicated in Part I (of the annexure) in the shape of Call Deposit Receipt drawn on any Scheduled Bank pledged to Director, Handlooms Development Department, 5-B/C Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, returnable to the unsuccessful tenderer(s) and to be retained or forfeited in case of defaulter as penalty to unsuccessful tenderers or to be retained till execution of the complete supply order as per specification laid down in the tender. However, the tenderer(s) indicating rates for the items included in both the parts shall have to furnish Call Deposit Receipt to the tune of Rs 9,000/-.

2. Tenderer(s) registered with the Department of Industries as a Small Scale Unit shall append a certified copy of Permanent Registration Certificate alongwith ''Active Production Certificate''.

3. The rates shall be FOR Jammu.

4. The successful tenderers shall have to execute the supply order within a period of 30 days failing which order will be treated as cancelled with forefeiture of Cash Deposit Receipt and supply order will be got executed by the next lowest tenderer on the same terms and conditions at his cost.

5. The tenderer(s) shall have to furnish the samples in duplicate alongwith the tender document.

6. The tender form can be obtained from this Directorate on any working day from 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM on cash payment of Rs 50/- only.

7. The supply shall have to be FOR Store, Jammu strictly as per the samples approved by the Technical Committee to be constituted by the Chairman, State Level Purchase Committee.

8. The payment will be made after the supply is made fully and proper certificates from the Technical Committee and the Incharge of the Store are recorded.

9. The tenderer(s) shall have to deposit tender alongwith samples personally in this Directorate by or before 4th, January, 2003 till 4.00 PM and any tender if received beyond this cut off date will not be entertained.

Successful bidders will be required to make full payment excluding sales tax as per existing rules immediately and remove the vehicles with in 24 hours at their own cost. Sales tax will be deposited by the successful bidder at taxation office of the state and receipt will be handed over to the office of the Commandant 86 Bn, CRPF, before the removal of the vehicles. Security money will be forefeited in case the bidder fails to deposit full payment and remove the vehicles with in the stipulated time.

Te purchaser will have to re-register the vehicles with the transport authorities in his name.

All rights to decide the final bid are reserved with the Commandant 86 Bn, CRPF, whose decision will be final and binding in all cases of bidding.
