SRINAGAR, Dec 4: Leader of the pro-Pakistan faction of the separatist Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, today alleged that the Government had imposed ‘ban’ on his proposed rally of December 6th "out of frustration". He contended that denying permission to the rally was aimed at protecting New Delhi’s "meaningless talks" with a discredited section of the Kashmiri leadership. Geelani called for complete shutdown in Jammu & Kashmir in protest against the government’s decision and claimed that the same would be the most forceful statement of the Kashmiri people to reject the Government of India’s "unrealistic and hoodwinking" peace process with Hurriyat’s Abbas Ansari faction....................more
