JAMMU, Jan 11: The Department of Information and Culture, Government of West Bengal (WB), felicitated Padamshree Balwant Thakur on the concluding day of 2nd National Theatre Seminar at the historic Minerva Theatre, Kolkata for his life-time contribution to the development and growth of theatre in India and abroad.
Balwant Thakur was here in this City of Joy (Kolkata) in connection with his participation in the prestigious 2nd National Theatre Seminar in which one exclusive session was focused on him. In a session of over five hours, the entire spotlight was on Balwant Thakur unfolding his work, theatrical vision, unique original style, contribution, innovations, creative encounters, work process, and an overview of his 35 happening years in theatre, performing arts, culture and arts administration.
The entire presentation designed professionally was supported by a detailed paper, audio/visual projection and a PPT glorifying his magnificent contribution to world theatre.
