JAMMU, Feb 22: Wave Cricket Club got better of Talab Tillo Cricket Club by 8 wickets in the inaugural match of the J&K Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Jammu Tawi Sports Club at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, TTCC collapsed on a meagre total of 90 runs in 18 overs. Nitin top scored with 38 runs, studded with 6 boundaries, while Aryan Dogra contributed 12 runs to the total. For Wave Club, Kamalpreet bagged 3 wickets, while Gurpreet, KD Singh and Sunny bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply, Wave Club chased the target by losing 2 wickets to win the match by 8 wickets.Rimple top scored with 46 runs off 25 balls, studded with 6 fours and one six, while Bobby and Sunny contributed 13 and 12 runs to the total respectively. For TTCC, Shubham claimed 2 wickets by conceding 35 runs in his 4 overs.
The Tournament is being sponsored by BHS Reality Pvt-The Vilas Luxury Today-Luxury Tomorrow and Renault.
Earlier, the Tournament was declared open by Arun Kumar and Vikram Singh in a simple function, which among others was attended by Indraj Bagal, Surinder Mehra, Vivek, Vikram Gupta and organising secretary Shashi Paul.
Tawi Sports Cricket Club will take on Krishana Cricket Club and Sarveshwar Cricket Club will face Chandan Club Samba at the same venue tomorrow.
