JAMMU, Jan 29: A meeting of residents of Sector 7 & 8 Upper Roop Nagar JDA Housing Colony was held today in which grave concern was expressed over scarcity of drinking water in the area.
The meeting said that for last one fortnight the JDA has failed to supply the tanker water to the area which is a cause of concern.
They said that the inhabitants of the colony are purchasing the water from private tankers though they are staying at a Government colony. They alleged that the frequent disruption of essential services is a regular feature and many complaints made to JDA authorities have not yielded any result.
The residents warned to launch agitation in case water supply is not restored at the earliest.
