JAMMU, Dec 24: Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market here today stressed upon Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to allot special funds for the improvement of lanes and drains, power supply and maintenance system in the area so as to develop the market on modern lines.
In a memorandum to JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma during their visit at Ware House today along with Ex-MLA, Rajesh Gupta; the Federation General Secretary, Deepak Gupta put forth demands of trading community of the area.
He urged upon the Mayor and Deputy Mayor to streamline sanitation system in the area badly hit due to apathy and lack of Safai Karamcharies whose number have come down from 18 to 2 at present causing a lot of problems to the traders.
The Federation General Secretary also demanded better maintenance of lighting system in the area and demanded High Mast Lights at five different places in Ware House.
He further demanded regular fogging of the area so that the traders as well as working class members could be able to work in neat and clean environment.
He also demanded the deep digging of drains and dustbins at various points of the area.
Conversion of Tawi River banks into landscape to give beautiful look to the area was also demanded.
Earlier, the Federation President, Rattan Lal Gupta had honored the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Ex-MLA, Rajesh Gupta by presenting bouquet, shawl and memento to them.
Federation Senior Vice President, Dheeraj Mahajan; Junior Vice President, Munish Mahajan; Secretary, Abhimanyu Gupta and Cashier, Vishal Gupta were also present on this occasion.
